Two days ago I thought I was losing my boat and everything I owned with it.
One day ago I was kitesurfing around a tropical island with sharks chasing me.
Today I woke up to the most incredible sunrise I have every seen over glassy smooth water!
But to make things even better, I got to see the sunrise twice. Once from my DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone. High up and well over all the islands. And again when the sunlight pierced through the mangroves of the islands surrounding me.
This cluster of rock islands and central Sandy Cay are amazing! But unfortunately I could not stay and enjoy them more. Due to COVID-19 restricting, we both had to get a five day COVID test after entering the country. So our day was spent traveling further into the Bahamas.
On our way to Green Turtle Cay to get our test. We enjoyed beautiful conditions. Filling our time with surfing, swimming/dragging behind the sailboat, playing the ukulele, and even a close visit from some very friendly dolphins.
Although we weren’t strictly sailing, it was a beautiful day on the water the whole way, till our destination, Aleen Pensacola Cay.
