After a wonderful morning sailing across the bank and anchoring up in Grand Cay. Maru and I hop in the water to checkout what’s around. Maru does not get far though, as she makes an adorable friend. A tiny remora she promptly named “Remorita”. I swim up current and find my own friend. A slightly bigger remora I named “Remoria Jounior”. This fish sticks to me for more than an hour as I swim around and collect dinner. Passing up on many fish and conch I wait to take my shot on a nice Gray Snapper. And then later find a good size queen conch with a thick fully mature lip. (Queen conch is legal to take in the Bahamas provided it has a fully flanged and mature lip.) Ending the day with a nice meal anchored in a tropical paradise.
This episode takes place from the afternoon of April 10th 2021 till the evening.
Make sure to check out the next episode where and unforeseen storm of immense power literally throws me to the wind!!! And threatens to completely destroy my sailboat. The closest I’ve come to loosing it all.
