WELCOME!!! To this full in-depth tour of a beautiful 2005 42′ Manta MkII sailing catamaran. “Charm” is the full time liveaboard home for the cruising couple Chris & Dean. Both retired Boeing engineers.
After looking online, I could not find many for sale. Since cruising catamarans are soo popular. But those that were similar to this boat are for sale from $250,000 – $350,000.
Chris & Dean have cruised and sailed long distance off and on for more than 30 years! This is the third sailboat they’ve owned. Hence the name, because third time is the “Charm”. They’ve been on this boat for only a couple years. But now intend to stay on this boat for the foreseeable future.
What impressed me most about Dean & Chris. Was the way they both equally contribute to the boat. Something that’s really rare to see on a sailboat. And something I’d love to see more as the sailing & cruising world modernizes.
