An ocean crossing is never easy on a boat, and constant use means lots of wear and tear on the boat and the gear. As we sail from Costa Rica to Hawaii we do some maintenance underway, replacing a cracked slide and a chafed reefing line as we watch the weather and time our repairs between the stronger winds.
