⚓ Overnight Passage to Vieques & Culebra | Bioluminescent Bay, Wild Horses & Caribbean Island Life 🌊🐕
In this episode of Unanchored Life, we leave Puerto Rico’s southern coast and make an overnight 64-mile passage to Vieques, arriving at Ensenada Sun Bay just after sunrise.
Vieques is famous for its wild horses, pristine Caribbean beaches, and Mosquito Bay — the brightest bioluminescent bay in the world. Along the way we battle headwinds, deploy our flopper stoppers to stabilize the boat, explore remote beaches, and discover a few surprises on land.
Later we continue east to the island of Culebra, where we find one of the best taco spots in the Caribbean and a laid-back cruising town full of personality (and cats).
