The most marine life activity we’ve seen en route. Even though we weren’t solely sailing I could not put the camera down. What an amazing passage. We didn’t decide to come in at night so killed time till sunrise and got another amazing show from the whales! Crossing latitude 23.5, the tropic of canc...

Just shy of 24 hours of straight sailing we make Bahia Santa Maria. Our last stop before reaching the tip of Baja and the actual tropics where we can fulfill that wish of Garrett’s all those years ago. As we began to anchor I noticed frigate birds were circling all around. It’s been 12 years since G...

Our longest leg to date onboard Rediviva. Two days to get to Turtle Bay from San Quintin and we were able to sail a decent chunk of it! We had a great weather window and needing to time the passage of Canal de Dewey during daylight to see fishing pots meant we could chill at 3 knots around Isla Cedr...
In the raw, troughs and crusts, of cruising life. It's always hard to share the low times for fear of judgement. It's also tough to relive the experience through editing. Hind sight being 20/20 you can point out a decision that if you chose different your situation could've been bette...
The storms have left us working instead until the bombcyclone settles down then we get to fixing the head and servicing winches! All in preparation to fulltime cruise!

Sick as in ill not like that was awesome... conditions were mellow and we did get to sail for several hours but I caught whatever Garrett caught and around sunset it started to take me down. We left Ensenada and made it to San Quintin to ride out some gnarly swell systems. One more anchorage further...
For the first time, making a video actually made me cry. Parts of the voice over I had to re-do because I was getting choked up. We secured the boat and thru bolted solar panels to prepare for the storm. Check it out here and exactly how we weathered the BOMBCYCLONE that’s hitting California, bigges...
Garrett's back goes out and we get bugs in the head...but we also make a new friend, soak in the hot tub, and get tattoos! Check out Ale on Instagram:

This week we motor to our first anchorage and enjoy it all to ourselves! The next day we manage to go 7.1 knots under motor- a new record! To celebrate we head off to Todos Santos, Mexico where we swim with dolphins, whale sharks, and help baby turtles!
