Turned out that the 'engineer' who replaced the exhaust elbows before I bought the boats had used standard jubilee clips rather than proper exhaust clamps - and not tightened them properly. Every time the engine was on it was pumping water into the bilge.
In this episode I continue my way onto Nanaimo after getting through Porlier Passage and Dodd Narrows.
