October 21/22, 2014 we had our fist stormy weather of the season. Wind gust were up over 90 kms/per hr at my marina and over 100 kms/per hr in other areas. The wind last several hours and a massive amount of rain followed! Just one of the things that makes living aboard a boat a little more excit...
We riveted in a new heart cypress plank into Nornas bottom. I wanted to capture some of the work Pete does, as he is a great carpenter and woodworker. He is super knowledgeable with boats and sailboats. Videos began to improve as I began to understand editing. I also was enjoying capturing Norna fro...
I gave a cabin tour a while back, but I have had a few people asking to give a more detailed explanation of what I have available in regards to living aboard. So join me for this two part tour of the cabin space as I show how easy it is to live aboard a 34 ft sailboat.

This is the updates on the paint and some of the fun stuff we are doing while the boat is getting tented. We used Behr water based house paint to paint the hull. We also replaced the plank that had gotten eaten by torredo worms. We also replaced a thru hole that was hard to get at inside the boat.

We moved off of Norna for about a month in order to do some heavy work aboard. We needed to paint and varnish Norna inside. A plank needed to be replaced on the bottom, because some of the copper had corroded and washed the tar away. We also wanted to tent Norna as living in an old city and also liv...

Here is the beginning of the haul out on Norna. We usually would haul out every winter with our wooden sailboat in Florida. We had a copper sheathed bottom on Norna at the time, and wanted to make sure all was well. Also have some updates to the work we were doing to the VW bus.
Here is all the re...

Here is episode 6 of Wicked Salty! DISCLAIMER!! No sailing is involved in this video. Just an update on what I have been going through since the boat was purchased. There were problems with the fresh water pump and the engine was leaking coolant and the boat needed to be registered in MA. J...

The crew leaves Sorong behind and goes searching for the village of Waisai. We get lost in the middle of no where but find a sweet spot to hang out and chill for a few days.
