Gale force winds blew in from the gulf of Alaska earlier than forecast. We spent an extra day riding it out at anchor.

Navigating in fog can be a challenge and fog is common in SE Alaska in the Summertime.

We have been lucky so far but we encountered dense fog on this trip. The anchorage at Warren Island Cove was completely socked in, but we managed.
