We filled up the water tanks just to find out that it was leaking from the fitting in the tank. The second flood was on the engine room when we were filling with anti freezing. We forgot about the breathing tube hidden behind the insulation. So we had a huge flood all over the bilges in the engine r...
As borders close with little notice, we have to change our cruising plan and sail to Trinidad through the rumoured pirate waters outside Venezuela. It's a little tension filled as we get our first pirate scare but we're still alive!

Lots to do and no time left. We are booked to go in the water next week on Thursday.
We get stuck in to cleaning the boat and polish the metal bits that we got in the air from other boats. A terrible job that has to be done.
We got on building the steps for the saloon and the back cabin. That look...
We sail from Guadeloupe to St Vincent and find ourselves surrounded by dolphins and pilot whales along the way! When we reach St Vincent, we visit our good friend Basil who takes us up into the north of the island to see how the communities are recovering from the volcano eruption of last year.

With a shortage of cable crimps and sleeving it all gets a bit desperate to finish the electrics.
We then have a bit of a blow when we get the cost for the CE marking for the boat. Apparently we need a Recreational Craft Directive which we didn’t know about. We thought we would be into the 5 years...
We sail from Iles des Saintes up to Pointe-a-Pitre, the city in the centre of Guadeloupe. We discover a trail in the rainforest that takes us up to the most incredible double waterfall, but it's not quite as simple as it sounds - it never is!

We finally put the exhaust system to bed. Our flexible pipe from MasterFlex arrived and Carla and I fit the system together. We are very pleased to have finished that job.
We then move on to the electrics. We wire the whole of the 240 volt system together and most of the negative side of the 12 v...
We try to sail to the centre of Guadeloupe but the winds have other ideas. So instead, we discover the Iles des Saintes and tour the islands by golf buggy! Come and find forts and incredible views with us as we circumnavigate an entire island in one day.

We finally get around to cutting the prop shaft and attaching the prop to the engine. We spend some time aligning the two up before moving on to the installation of the exhaust and the heater. Things are getting even more serious now as we are approaching the finishing line.
Carla puts even more...
We sailed to Guadeloupe and all was going well until she threw him overboard! 🤣 Iain eventually recovers and tames a parrot to sit on his shoulder and Brioni is amazed at the size of real live flambingos! Come and see how close we came to fame as we peek behind the scenes of BBC's hit show Deat...
We get heavily into the plumbing this week. So many different kind of pipes, it’s unbelievable! We might have around 20 different pipes, would you believe that? We catch up on small jobs and install most of the pipes all over the place. The fuel filler pipe, the holding tank suck out pipe and the ...
We finally set sail from St Martin to explore St Barth's but everything goes wrong along the way. Our furling line needs to be replaced, our anchor chain gets switched out and we even try our hand at some dramatically unsuccessful fishing! But what would life be without interruptions and stuff ...
This has worked out to be the lowest point on this project. We had a big upset with the boatyard which we are choosing not to mention for now and at least have the job finished without a major complication.
A lack of items to finish projects around the boat has been another big issue as the orders...
We build our own 12v watermaker to turn seawater into fresh drinking water from our solar panels. It's a tough project and we learn a lot but it's going to be so worth it in the end when we can live off grid! Make sure you watch until the very end for our reactions!

YES. This week we finish the floor in the pilot house. Much more difficult than we expected, like everything on the boat. Turned out to be a huge job because nothing is square and had to look perfect. Once again up and down the ladder hundred of times. But we are very pleased with the end result.

We run aground! Disaster strikes as we try to enjoy a relaxing weekend in a perfect tropical bay. Join us as we sail around the coast of Saint Martin and watch what happens when we get stuck for hours trying to get ourselves free again.

This week we get in to finishing the Pilot House! The bits that we have been working on for so long are just starting to come up to life. It’s like putting a cherry on the top of the cake and” voilà “… beautiful! The boat is starting to come together at last and feels so good. We are so proud of ours...
As hurricane season arrives, it's time to get ready to sail South so we do a MASSIVE provisioning run before we head to more remote islands where the food is more expensive. We also have a major casualty when our laptop breaks...and then tropical storm Elsa gets upgraded to hurricane status jus...
To our surprise we get ahead of ourselves when Carla gets stuck into the Pilot House this week. She manages to do half of it and then runs out of materials. So we are waiting now to finish but it looks amazing!
Simon gets on fitting out the aft heads, even though we think we are going to finish the...
We test three old life rafts to see if they still inflate and Brioni climbs inside for a good look around. We also jump beneath the waves to clean our hulls and Iain goes up the mast to install our new radar and AIS system.

What a week, Carla gets her thumb caught in the door, Ouch... that hurts! And Simon cut his finger on the circular saw. So yes, luck wasn't really on our side this week.
But we have to keep going as we have a lot of work to be finished in the aft cabin! Things are starting to look much bette...
We explore Tintamarre island and find a plane wreck then go sailing back to the mainland and spot THREE HUMPBACK WHALES on our way!! There's even time to send our new (very old, but we only just found it!) spinnaker up for a test - will it work or will the whole thing be a bag of rags??

We take a new look at the back cabin and decided that the layout is not good. After some deliberation we stripp it all out and start again. What a nightmare! So much work lost but we are sure that the new layout will be much better. Will also have a desk so c...
It's time to go sailing - to a deserted island! We've been working hard on Indi and we need a break, so it's off to the island of Tintamarre to spend some time exploring off grid. Not much goes to plan, but thats par for the course with us! Come and hang out in paradise!
