To be clear, I highly recommend the Sea Water Pro watermaker. It's served me very well for nearly 4 years. But, eventually the membrane degrades. Which is what happened to mine. Which was brought on a bit earlier by making water in dirty areas.

Yes we are back in Vari, just south of Athens, although the coastal village and beach itself is called Varkiza. This is only a short stop as we have to head off to go pickup some VIPs.

We sail at 0600 to ensure we can get most of the way across the Aegean in daylight. We were expecting strong northerly winds all day due to a big Meltemi and were not disappointed.
We sail most of the way with two reefs, enjoying big seas slightly aft of the beam and make great time. There is a bit...
Mutton Snapper are a great fish to hunt and eat. They eat primarily crab, and taste delicious! So when I see one, I go for them! Being that their main diet consists of crab, they are highly unlikely to give someone Ciguatera fish poisoning.

This beautiful, but still windy, location allowed us to do some interior repairs, and get walking in prior to our check-out day. Unfortunatel...
Kitesailing a 300lb+ RIB Highfield 310 dinghy at 11mph/9.6knots is fun and impressive! What's more, is that it can go upwind, and all while carrying a 15hp Yamaha Enduro on the back! Just think of the possibilities of this simple setup? What could be improved upon? And how far could you go?!?

We sailed from Dogenbay Adasi enroute to Cesme where we planned to check out of Turkey. The nasty meltemi was persistent which did afford some great sailing conditions as we had shelter from any seas from the north.
We overnighted in remote and empty Mersin Korfezi, surrounded by impressive wind fa...
