Heya, we’re Cozzy and Mitcho. Thanks for joining us on our Sailing Ocean Life as we get stuck doing boat work (again)… this time in paradise.

Yup, just when we thought the best of the boat work was done and dusted in Darwin, here we are again doing monumental amounts of boat work, but this time we’re in Paradise!

We blame our predicament on the deep waters of Indonesia. We’ve sailed in depths of over 5,000m 😳 and whilst we tried to find the shallowest place to anchor, in Banda Neira we were faced with a 60m anchorage. This resulted in our electric anchor winch pulling away from the bow of Ocean Lady.

But we’re super fortunate to have some very skilled sailors on this journey with us and not only do they know what they're doing, but they’re also generous with their time, so we had the privilege of learning from these experts.

Thankfully it wasn’t all boat work, we did manage to sneak off and explore Ambon, and wow what a busy and bustling city it is. After stopping at Debut where there's not even a market, our eyes widened at the plentiful supply of… EVERYTHING. We had fun shopping at some of the biggest, best-stocked supermarkets but also managed to pick up some boat parts when we needed them, super handy.

Next week we stop into a cute little village, Amblau, and then on to Namrole for some Indonesian fun, why don’t you join us!
