With the anchor safely down next to historic Fort Rodney in St Lucia’s northern anchorage, it was time to slow the pace. After clearing customs, we treated ourselves to a mountain of fresh tropical fruit delivered straight to the boat before heading ashore to explore one of the Caribbean’s most fascinating military sites. Fort Rodney has a history that’s well worth uncovering.
But that’s not all…
As the sun sets, the streets of Rodney Bay come alive for the famous Friday Night Street Party, a tradition that’s been bringing locals and visitors together for more than 50 years. With food sizzling, music pumping and dancing in every direction, we couldn’t resist joining the fun and shaking our booties with the locals!
