Heya, we’re Cozzy and Mitcho. Thanks for joining us on our Sailing Ocean Life as we sail into Australia’s most northern city, Darwin.

Wow we have arrived, we can’t quite believe it considering we only left Exmouth 6 weeks ago. We’ve covered some serious ground, or water, in that time, 1,349nm to be exact. But whilst we feel like we’ve rushed through some of the most beautiful places in Western Australia, ie: the Kimberley, we feel like we’ve enjoyed it as much as possible.

And we are super pumped to be in Darwin!! The weather is hot and balmy with an average daily temperature of 32oC (90oF), and we’re here in the dry season! The wet season goes from November to April and whilst the temperatures are typically the same, the humidity levels reach over 80% so it’s always hot and sticky with frequent rainfall.

We’ve arrived at Tipperary marina to catch up with mates of ours Magnus and Wendy and then plan to relocate to a boat yard to get Ocean Lady’s bottom cleaned and re-antifouled and of course to replace both our motors which have lived a long and loyal life, but it’s time to replace them with brand newies.

First things first though, we have some exploring to do!
