Im taking you with me to some of the most spectacular places in Tual and sharing my impressions and the positive surprises. I did not expect Tual to be such a secret piece of paradise. Obviously Im here outside the season, still its amazing that there is no one here. I mean having some of the most beautiful beaches I ever walked all alone. Even swimming inside a cave and also this attraction all by our self. Asia is famous for plastic in the ocean, however this is a global problem from my experience. I have seen just as much plastic some places in the Caribbean and even in the Atlantic,
To see what Indonesia now try to do with this is truly amazing.

ABOUT THIS CHANNEL:
I'm a sailor with a YouTube channel and not a YouTuber. Sailing around the world in a Bavaria 55 Cruiser mostly solo, making videos whenever we have time for it.
Comfortable at sea with 4 decades of sailing experience and hundreds of thousands of miles behind me.
Even though this is season 6 on YouTube I did not make that many videos in the beginning, and obviously not from my entire sailing life. Before full-time sailing 6 years ago, I sailed several seasons in the Mediterranean, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and have been sailing and racing ever since. Also, more than 10 years of experience as a captain in Search and Rescue at sea in Norway.

In this episode, Sailing with Thomas uncovers what might just be the best-kept secret in Indonesia. Together with Abidin, a local Indonesian, Thomas embarks on an unforgettable adventure to explore the pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters of Tual.
The beautiful beach they discover is like a slice of heaven, practically untouched by tourists. With silky sand and stunning views, it’s no wonder Thomas is amazed by this Indonesian hidden gem.
During their road trip, Thomas and Abidin pick up plastic waste from the ocean that washed ashore after a storm. With a sign warning against littering, it’s evident that Tual is making strides to combat plastic pollution.
From the natural cave system with crystal-clear waters to affordable accommodations, Tual offers a unique glimpse into Indonesian culture and hospitality. Thomas reflects on how this paradise has surprised him and how it contrasts with the often-negative image of Muslim-majority countries in Europe.
This episode is a must-watch for anyone interested in Southeast Asian culture, stunning natural landscapes, and the global issue of plastic pollution. Don’t miss Thomas’ next adventure as he continues to explore the beauty of Indonesia and beyond.
