🌊 Join me, Jacqueline Evers, on my epic journey around the world aboard my 27-foot Grinde, Loveworkx.
In this video, I sail toward IJmuiden to head out onto the North Sea—and for the very first time, I set my spinnaker solo. With calm weather and light winds, it feels like the perfect moment to slow down and work through every step with care.
From setting up the spinnaker pole and repacking the sail, to tidying the cockpit, hoisting, troubleshooting, and finally sailing under spinnaker, this is a hands-on learning moment. Things don’t go perfectly—but that’s exactly the point.
It’s an honest look at learning something new alone at sea: staying calm, solving small problems, asking questions, and enjoying the pure joy when everything finally comes together.
