17-6-21 – IMOCA Winners
The Ocean Race Europe – Leg 3 – Day 5
Robert Stanjek’s Offshore Team Germany (GER) took an impressive win in the IMOCA60 fleet having led from shortly after the start in Alicante. An older, non-foiling boat before the race there were questions as to whether the German team would be able to compete against the newer machines yet throughout the event they have not only been competitive but now lead the series overall.
Thomas Ruyant’s LinkedOut (FRA) finished second, overtaking Charlie Enright’s American entry 11th Hour Racing Team in the closing stages of the leg.
