In the Vendee Globe German Boris Herrmann had to stop and slow yesterday and overnight MacGiver a repair issue with his port foil ram pin. He repaired the system only for it to break again. He had to retrieve the pieces from the bowels of the boat before being able to fix the foil bearing at a fixed rake.”
