The 6.5 metre class Mini Transat started their last leg to the Caribbean, The Transat Jacques Vabre broke into two divisions going East and West and the Multis MOD 70’s started from Brest to Race to marks around islands off Rio De Janiero and Cape Town before returning to the start.
To report on this US Vendee Globe sailor Ryan Breymaier was on Tom Ehman’s Sailing Illustrated and he explained firstly what happened on Alex Thomson’s HUGO BOSS as they cut their keel off, the start of the last leg of the Mini Transat Boulangère to Martinique and we have a report from around the fleet of the IMOCA’s on Day 7.
So it’s a French Sailing Week and the Atlantic is dotted with hunderds of yachts and sailors.
