Meanwhile the on-water action in Australia is at “Sail Melbourne”, where we have the Day One highlights.
Melbourne produced a 32-degree day, with 20 knots of shifty easterly breeze to keep the sailors happy.
Jérémie Beyou has had a very challenging year this year, and he is looking at building a new Imoca for the 2024 Vendee Globe. Let’s hope it’s as exciting as his current boat.
The Melges 15 Winter Series got off to a great start with 60 boats registered. The registration more than doubled since 2021 with new owners, early advocates, and teams of all ages. Congratulations to Eddie Cox and Molly Ziegler! The 15 is, Sailing World’s, “Boat of the Year.”
