Boris Hermann in Sea Explorer caught up with Jean Le Cam, Yes We Cam, in the Southern Pacific and passed him. A magic moment in the Vendee Globe. But remember they both have time add-ons which will be applied when they finish.
The Franck Cammas, Charles Caudrelier, led Edmund De Rothschild are once again ready on stand-by for the next weather window to start their attempt at breaking the Jules Verne Trophy record.
Meanwhile on the now retired attempt on the record by SEDEBO life onboard has returned to normal as they head back to home base in Lorient.
The outer space junk dumping ground on earth is Nemo Point in the Pacific under 2,000 clicks to Cape Horn. The Vendee fleet are passing through this area headed to “the horn”.
