In the 470 Women’s Medal Race France protested Gold Medal Winner Great Britain for “”alleged team racing after a close tussle between the leading three contenders for the medals: Great Britain, France and Poland”
The Protest Committee dismissed the claim and awarded the Gold to GBR’s Hannah Mills and Eilidh McIntyre. In the Men’s Aussies Mat Belcher and Will Ryan won the Gold giving Belcher a Gold to go with his other Olympic Medals making Mills and Belcher to most winning 470 sailors eveer.
