There’s bad weather off La Rochelle the starting point for the 90 boat fleet of the Class Mini, 6.5 Meter, 20 Foot) crazy, fantastic racing yachts.
Yes NINETY sailors are setting out once again to battle the Atlantic Ocean and all it can throw at them, all in the name of pushing the boundaries of the sport of Sailing.
Travelling in the wake of many French super-sailors before them, these 90 are looking at having a “bumpy” start as the weather is, to say the least, “Lousy.”
If you were one of the rookie, first timers, how would you feel waiting out these 24 hours before tomorrow’s start.
I don’t know about you but my feelings were always to get going and deal with what “hewie” throws at you.
At least you know that you’re going and sailing.
