On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s their Winded Voyage. A real living adventure series.

Taking the propeller off its shaft underwater to change the Cutlass Bearing is impossible some say. But in Cape Verde doing the nearly impossible is possible. We end our stay on the island of Santa Antao by visiting Dona Maria’s charming hostel with a view. But back in Mindelo is wher the real action takes place. Boat CV and my friend Gilson get under Galopin belly to take his propeller off and change the Cutlass Bearing. And yes, it is possible!
