We Got LOST in the Pirates of the Caribbean Indian River! E398
We set out to explore Dominica’s famous Indian River… but somehow managed to lose the trail!
What followed turned into one of those adventures that makes Dominica so incredible. We wandered through thick jungle, crossed the river and found ourselves surrounded by huge twisted roots that looked straight out of a movie set — which makes sense, because parts of Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed along the Indian River!
Eventually, we found our way to the legendary Bush Bar hidden deep along the river. 🍹🌿 What an amazing place!
Back at the sailboat, the adventure wasn’t over. We jumped straight into the water for a snorkel and couldn’t believe how much marine life was hiding right beneath us — including TONS of lionfish.
Jungle trails, Pirates of the Caribbean scenery, river crossings and incredible snorkeling… Dominica keeps surprising us.
