Making a Thanksgiving feast aboard our sailboat Penelope was one of my favorite things we did all season. Boat life rarely looks like life on land, but sometimes it is nice to bring some of those special traditions into our tiny home on the ocean. I’m hoping this is a tradition we can keep moving forward for many years to come when we begin traveling again. We spent two-years doing van life full time in Europe and never got to cook up a feast like this because our van kitchen was so small, so this fall we decided to celebrate Thanksgiving a little early so we’d get to test out our tiny kitchen–and it was so much fun I can’t wait to cook up more epic meals like this on the boat. Whether you’re living in a boat, a van, or a tiny home, taking the time to celebrate by slowing down and cooking up a storm is a wonderful break from the less adventurous cooking we do most days of the week ; )
If you’re interested in the recipes I used for this vegan feast please find all the links below. Though I will warn you I don’t follow recipes at all 🙂
