Have you ever anchored your boat overnight? Were you nervous that you’d swing into another yacht nearby or drag anchor and hit the shore? Did you hold an anchor watch or rely on the anchor alarm?
When we set out to anchor overnight for the first time we had a lot of these same questions. We decided to go somewhere we had sailed before to make it a little easier for us and it turned out to be a night we’ll always remember. Living aboard Penelope is an adventure of a lifetime and I know we are going to make so many more memories sailing her around the world, but for now, while we’re still beginners, the big memories are just a quick sail away from our mooring.
