My original hope was that I could convert the Mk I chain locker (which is not self-draining) into a Mk II locker (which is self-draining). But boat DIY is never that simple.
This video is about trying to fulfill both the installation requirements of the Lofran X2 WIndlass whilst also converting the chain locker to be self-draining. There is loads of advice on the internet about how to convert to a self-draining locker. But it is all contradictory. Not very useful.
I think I have a solution – that might work – maybe.
