There are so many headlands and islands that the water just moves in strange ways. We thought we
were arriving around slack water, since high tide was only an hour away, and instead there were tidal
races everywhere.
Surrounded by white water and overfalls, the tide swirling and eddying in every direction. And it
looked like we were about to sail straight into it.
