Welcome to another update from Elixir’s voyage around the world!
I took a four month break from sailing during the Hurricane season in Mexico, and went home to the UK to see friends and family.
Afterwards, I returned to Mexico and it was straight into full on boatyard mode. We cleaned EVERYTHING, replaced a lot of engine parts, swapped out the cutlass bearing and so much more!
It was a lot of work beneath the hot Mexican sun, but it felt amazing to have Elixir back on the water. After our spell in the boatyard, we crossed the dangerous Gulf of Tehuantepec, and sailed to the states of Oaxaca and Guerrero.
