Island Hopping in The Canaries (EP5)
With UK & Spanish COVID-19 restrictions temporarily eased, the crew of Elixir return to the boat after leaving her for 8 months in Tenerife. After nourishing Elixir with TLC, George, Chloe and skipper Max venture out to explore more remote parts of The Canary Islands.
They sail through bizarre weather systems and encounter cave dwelling hippies and blissful anchorages. They find that Elixir (a 1970 Sparkman & Stephens Swan) is in her element, easily handling the large swells and spontaneous wind changes. She glides gracefully the down waves, surfing with the dolphins.
Chloe and George depart and return to work in the UK. Elixir is moored up in Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) awaiting Lily & Harry's arrival as they attempt to evade the ever worsening lockdown regulations back home.
Here we will spend time preparing Elixir, ensuring she is seaworthy before sailing across the Atlantic to The Caribbean.
