Back on Elixir After Six Weeks of Charter Work in Fiji
Out of the marina for the first time in six weeks, and it felt so good to be sailing Elixir again.
After spending six weeks doing everything on a 72 footer, a 37 foot boat suddenly felt very
manageable. Putting the sails up is so easy when you've got used to raising a massive mainsail.
That's Viti Levu behind me, and we were just sailing over to a little island. We hadn't had a day off in a
really long time, which is fine, but we'd been working so hard, getting the boat ready, getting her up
here, then straight to work. This was the first real chance to enjoy Elixir in a long time. Maybe the first
time ever for me.
