I have found for the same price or a tiny bit cheaper I could get an iPad WITH Navionics and I would have all the functionality of the iPad and not be limited to just the sole purpose of a GPS. However, there are a few things to take into consideration if you are looking at using your iPad as your navigation device ESPECIALLY as your sole navigation device.
