Kito Sylvain’s Bora Bora Moorings Services (“BBMS”) took possession of all the moorings in Bora Bora two months earlier and he gladly took our money without ever checking the condition of our mooring. After it broke, it was up to us to save our sailboat, only to have him deny any responsibility and his insurance companies supported his efforts (Assurcare and Helvetia). His negligence caused us and our insurance company hundreds of thousands in damages and a half a year of disappointment. It’s modern day Piracy at its best… Welcome to paradise: a Bora Bora nightmare.

ABOUT US: We are a family of five sailing around the world on our “dream boat,” a performance catamaran named “Archer.”
Ten years ago, before kids, we sailed a Lagoon 380 named “Honeymoon” halfway around the world to Sydney, Australia. Along the way we shared our experiences with family and friends via YouTube, and by happenstance created one of the earliest sailing channels still posting. We also realized what an incredible experience we were having and that someday we wanted to do it again, only this time with our kids.
OUR ROUTE has taken us from the Boston/Cape Cod area of the United States down to the Caribbean and through the Panama Canal. At the time of posting this we have dealt with the Coronavirus lock down in New Zealand, a category 5 cyclone in Fiji, and now we are cruising again in Covid Free Australia.

The Sailing Family
Welcome aboard our family-friendly adventure! We are a family of five sailing around the world on our "dream boat," a performance cruising catamaran named "Archer!" Ten years after sailing halfway around the world for their honeymoon, this family of five decided to quit the corporate life and do it all again, this time with three kids. In the summer of 2018 we sold everything we owned in California, bought our dream boat on the east coast of the US, and departed for a four year circumnavigation of the earth. We are sharing family-friendly videos of our adventures to journal our experiences (both good and bad) so we can remember and cherish these formative years with our boys.
