We’re in Townsville, and what started as a routine outboard fix quickly turned into an absolute mechanical marathon. 😅
First, our dinghy outboard stops passing water. We head down to a local breakers here in Townsville to grab some replacement parts, but after putting it all back together, things go from bad to worse. A closer look under the hood reveals the engine is completely rotted out and totally worthless. RIP outboard. 🪦
Desperate to get back on the water, we jump on Facebook Marketplace and find another secondhand outboard. It looked great running on the stand, but let’s just say we got completely ripped off. We brought it back to the boat only to find it had a mountain of similar hidden problems! 🤦♂️
