Bluewater pacific ocean crossing.
This week you join us as we cross the Pacific Ocean from New Zealand to Minerva Reef.
Mother nature saw to it that we did not become complacent, throwing four seasons at us in the space of seven days. From perfect conditions to storm warning. Glassy calm water to everything in between.
Rob smashing up a mirror on our departure did nothing to help the situation. Jinxing us from the get go. Was there method in his madness or was he just looking for seven years of bad luck?
What ever he was after it may well have been working. We saw neither hide nor hair of any marine animals on our trip north. Unfortunately it worked a little too well. Smashed mirror seems to equal carrying bananas where fishing is concerned. Luckily there’s always scrambled egg and pasta and pesto to save the day.
