If you watched eps 9, you’ll have learnt that we got a little too close to a Green Island bommie so ended up having to sail 40nm with a plug in our keel to get to the safety of Jurien Bay. Here we could get her lifted and patched up.
Jurien Bay isn’t the worst place to end up, the locals were welcoming and helpful with advice on everything from fibre glassing to in hull transducers, Dan and Mandy from Jurien Bay Marina supplies were fantastic! But, after fourteen days and $4.5k spent on getting Ocean Lady back in the water, we were pretty happy to be back on the open ocean again.
