Sailed 160nm to a Caribbean French Island… We Found THIS - Eps 78
This is it… we’re finally outta Sint Maarten 🙌 (and yes—this time we had the original paperwork 😅 if you missed that saga, make sure you watch the end of the last episode…)
With wind in the sails and the bow set south, we kick off a 160nm journey towards Terre-de-Haut in the Îles des Saintes - where we’re planning to spend Christmas with some good mates.
But first… a quick stop in Saint Kitts and Nevis.
What starts as a peaceful overnight anchorage quickly turns into a 3am wake-up call when the ferries roll in, lights blazing 😳 Not exactly subtle… but hey, not the worst way to get moving.
We’re back underway before sunrise, sails up, engines off, and greeted with one of those magic moments that reminds us exactly why we chose this life 🌅
After the long push, we arrive into Terre-de-Haut just in time for Christmas - and finally reunite with our mates from the Sail Malaysia Rally back in 2023. Big hugs, plenty of laughs, and one of those full-circle moments that really hits home.
Because honestly… that’s what this lifestyle is all about.
The places are incredible—but it’s the people you meet along the way that make it unforgettable.
We spend a few days soaking up the French Caribbean vibes, exploring Fort Napoléon, and enjoying the simple things…
