How to Replace A Busted Boat Steering Chain - Sailing Britican
In our last video, our buddy boat experienced a 50-knot wind gust that shredded his mainsail and busted his boat steering chain. As a follow-up Simon helped Len, on s/v Mohini, to replace the steering cable.
Not only does this video demonstrate how to do a steering cable, but it also provides an insight as to the troubleshooting method that liveaboard sailing cruisers apply. Neither Simon nor Len knew how to do the task yet they worked through various options and find a way that resulted in success.
