In this video, we rushed to launch off the boat trailer in the Florida Keys to take advantage of a weather window only to be too late with waves building at the reef so, we switch to our Plan B, which is sailing behind a sandbar to out smart the swell. A few drinks to take off the edge and we snorkel, swim and stroll along the sandbar. A few minutes into our stroll, we were surrounded by sharks, which is a first for us. We saw schools of fish and a manatee, who may have never seen a pink bikini…so cool and unexpected! We also saw a huge stingray.

I think this has to be our favorite island yet! The sandbar goes on for miles and the island offers us not just shaded beauty but a playground to boot. A few miles off of Key West sits this paradise in the clear waters of the Florida Keys but you need your own boat or at least a rental to get there....
