HOW HE TESTED HIS GIRLFRIEND BEFORE 18 YEARS SUCCESSFUL ARCTIC SAILING -SwT 200

Can you sail to Antarctica on a mass-production yacht? They have sailed for 18 years nonstop on a mass-production yacht mostly close to either the North or the South Pole. Before this, he tested his girlfriend if she had what it takes for successfully sailing full-time around the world. And they are still going strong to places, not many visit. These are the real-life sailors you normally never hear about or see on YouTube. They even do it on a yacht many people would have strong opinions against.

Meet Caroline and Paul, sailing a First 40.7 in some of the world's most remote and roughest waters. No fuss and no drama, just down to earth still pretty extraordinary people doing things many sailors would never dream about. Some of the most interesting people I have met on my long adventure are not on YouTube and they definitely are not telling you what you can do.

Paul and Caroline have a blog if you want to follow their onward adventures: https://giebateau2020.blogspot.com/?m=1

Please also check out my brand new channel @PracticalThomas where the full version with more details is shared every time I have some practical topics in my videos https://youtu.be/DoamO6EUeAI

ABOUT THIS CHANNEL:
I'm a sailor with a YouTube channel and not a YouTuber. Sailing around the world in a Bavaria 55 Cruiser mostly solo, making videos whenever we have time for it.
Comfortable at sea with 4 decades of sailing experience and hundreds of thousands of miles behind me.

Even though this is season 6 on YouTube I did not make that many videos in the beginning, and obviously not from my entire sailing life. Before full-time sailing 6 years ago, I sailed several seasons in the Mediterranean, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and have been sailing and racing ever since. Also, more than 10 years of experience as a captain in Search and Rescue at sea in Norway.
