We flipped our dinghy in the surf! | Sailing with Six | S2 E51
April 06, 2024 by Sailing with six | Language: EN Play Time: 00:26:22 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

Oh no! We flipped our dinghy in the surf!
After all the boat jobs we had been doing on Happy Days we would stop for surf breaks to help us through but on this occasion we unfortunately were in such a rush to hit the waves that the bowline to the anchor was not tied well.
As a set rolled through Bella noticed the dinghy was free and floating towards the waves. Just as she got within arms reach of the dinghy it was breaching the impact zone and flipped on the lip of the wave, washing in to the line up of surfers and tossing out everything we’d left in there.
Thankfully with the help of our friends from Penmanship who were also at the surf break with their well anchored dinghy we managed to drag her out of the waves and into the channel where we could flip her back over.
They towed us to a nearby marina dock and as it got dark the race was on to flush the outboard and try and save it… do we succeed?
Enjoy watching this episode and you find the answers and see what other projects we manage to get through.
