Places like this actually exist… and after days crossing the Indian Ocean, we finally found ourselves here.
Not long after leaving Sri Lanka, this passage didn’t go exactly to plan. An unexpected encounter at sea and an engine issue reminded us that out here, you stay calm, keep moving, and deal with things one step at a time.
After days of blue in every direction, the Maldives appeared — and everything slowed down. We explored crystal-clear lagoons, anchored carefully over sand to protect the reef, and spent days snorkelling and free diving through an underwater world full of life.
This episode is about the contrast — the hustle of Sri Lanka, the rhythm of a long ocean passage, and the reward waiting on the other side. A reminder that some of the most incredible places on Earth can’t be rushed… but they’re worth every mile.
