Refitting this old sailboat feels a little like therapy… if therapy involved heat waves, glue guns from the 90s, and a boat heeling like it wants to buck me off. Today I’m tackling more interior fixes: templating new shelves, building out bathroom storage, dealing with rogue cabinet doors, and adding safety rails where the boat tried to steal my skull.
It’s windy enough to tip this heavy boat over, everything is creaking, and the projects never end — but that’s real DIY boat life. No fake “perfect rebuild” edits. Just the grind, the sweat, and the chaos of making a floating home actually livable.
