Wow what happened here was totally incredible! The story of the supposed lone survivor is captivating, as are the many stories of sunken ships, tidal waves, sudden pyroclastic flow, 'mental asylum' and many other uncovered ruins. One of the most interesting, jaw dropping, heart breaking places we have visited so far. The beautiful, and now once again thriving, town of Saint Pierre is situated in the French island of Martinique and is full of history, strength and beauty.
