The loneliness of sailing around the world

There are so many incredible things about sailing around the world... the freedom, the breathtaking places, and the adventure of waking up somewhere new.

But there is one part of this lifestyle that isn't talked about enough: the loneliness.

Leaving behind family, lifelong friends, coffee dates, birthdays, and the women who knew me before this life has been one of the biggest adjustments. While I absolutely love this adventure with my husband Scott, I've also discovered something I never expected—an incredible sisterhood of women sailors from all over the world.

In this video, I'm sharing an honest conversation about the emotional side of living aboard, the friendships I've left behind, and the amazing women I've been lucky enough to meet along the way.

If you've ever left home to follow a dream, moved to another country, travelled full-time, or simply understand what it's like to miss the people you love, I'd love to hear your story in the comments.

💙 If you're another woman sailor, tell me where you're watching from. Maybe one day our paths will cross in an anchorage somewhere around the world.

⛵ Thanks for joining us aboard Sea Moon as we share the highs, the challenges, and everything in between while sailing around the world.

If you enjoyed this conversation, please like, subscribe, and come along for the adventure.

Fair winds,
