Meet Dark Side — our Australian-made Ocean Craft aluminium tender and one of the more unusual pieces of equipment aboard Sea Moon.
She may be small, but there's a lot going on here. Dark Side has positive level flotation, a 25hp Yamaha, an unusual deep-V/trimaran-style hull design, aluminium construction and serious stability — and she's designed with lifeboat/liferaft capability in mind.
In this Tech Talk with Scott, we take a proper look at why we chose her, what makes her different from a conventional inflatable tender, and some of the pros AND cons we've discovered while cruising with her.
