Leaving the Marina: A New Chapter in Our Sailing Adventure

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived – it’s time to leave the marina and begin our journey aboard the beautiful catamaran. There’s an air of excitement and anticipation as we prepare for what lies ahead.

Preparing for Departure

With both lines securely on a slip, we take the necessary steps to ensure a smooth departure. Midlines off B – it’s crucial to properly secure all lines before leaving the dock. As per our planned roles, Scott takes charge of turning off various systems while I cast off the final line, sending us into open waters.

A Moment to Reflect

As we glide effortlessly away from the marina, a wave of relief washes over us. It’s an incredible feeling to be finally free from the confines of the dock, with the vast expanse of the ocean stretching out before us.

Gratitude to the Staff at Ocean Marina

Throughout our stay, we’ve been fortunate enough to experience nothing but top-notch service from the staff at Ocean Marina. Their warm hospitality has made us feel right at home, and their dedication to ensuring our every need was met was exceptional.

A Special Shout-Out to Phil and Scott

Particular mention must go out to two of the stars of our marina experience, Phil and Scott. Their tireless efforts in solving every problem we encountered were truly commendable. We couldn’t have asked for more attentive hosts during our time at Ocean Marina.

Bidding Farewell to a Comforting Home Away From Home

Although it’s strange to be leaving such a welcoming environment, we’ve been eager for this moment. We feel fortunate that our time at the marina has come to an end on a high note.

Embarking On Our Future Adventures

As we set sail into uncharted waters, there’s a sense of excitement and anticipation for the journey ahead. We trust that our time at Ocean Marina has prepared us well for the challenges and experiences that lie on our new path.

A New Horizon Awaits

We bid farewell to Ocean Marina with a mixture of emotions – gratitude, nostalgia, and eagerness. The vast ocean beckons us onward, promising new discoveries, incredible experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Hey there! We're Nick and Terysa and we’ve become completely obsessed with the idea of sailing around the world and sharing our experiences and information through our sailing lifestyle videos with others.

We met travelling around India, and quickly agreed that rather than “settling down” and doing what most normal people do, we wanted to travel and have adventures! We moved onto our 38 foot monohull in 2014, sailed across the Atlantic twice, cruised the Caribbean, Bahamas and Europe, before buying a brand new 45 ft catamaran!

We hope you enjoy what we do. Please subscribe, like and share.
