We finally leave Datca, we leave our parcel behind and sail on towards Marmaris with a hope that customs there are more logical. We have a great sail and find a quaint little isolated bay, but we have loads of trouble setting our anchor guys!. You’ll have to watch and find out if we actually get it set before dark!

Episode 199 – Trouble Setting Our Anchor after a day Sailing in Turkey!
In this episode, the Pickle Family continues their global water adventure tourism, sailing around the beautiful Turkish coastline. While trying to find a perfect spot for an overnight anchor in the crystal-clear waters of Simi Island, they encounter unexpected challenges and trouble with setting their anchor. A Surprise Visit from the Coast Guard! The excitement starts when a Coast Guard boat approaches them for an inspection. The family must hand over their papers and documents for checking while beaming with delight at the encounter, as they have only seen nice guards in their previous interactions. Anchor Troubles! After the Coast Guard leaves, the Pickle Family continues with anchoring, but face issues as they cannot set their anchor properly. Despite multiple attempts, they are unable to secure themselves in the beautiful secluded cove and must relocate in search of a more suitable spot for anchoring. The Journey Continues Undeterred, they set their sights on a nearby bay with clearer waters. The family spends their day swimming, snorkeling, and enjoying the tranquil surroundings. Chris tries his hand at deep-sea fishing and reels in an impressive rockfish which adds to the day’s excitement. The Conclusion After overcoming their anchor-related troubles, the Pickle Family successfully sets up a secure anchorage.
