Episode 198 - Chaos in a Turkish Anchorage! And lost Parcels!

Continuing on from last weeks episode, we continue to deal with the saga of trying to get repairs and fix our boat whilst travelling the world and in the meantime, we are chasing a parcel which we’ve been waiting on for weeks to arrive and customs, keep passing it onto more customs and we just can’t seem to get them to release it to us! So we’re stuck in Anchorage where day upon day we’re getting surrounded by sh*t sailors and people that can’t anchor and just drag on us and everybody else. All fun and games guys, see you out there!

Chaos in a Turkish Anchorage! The Pickle Family’s Lost Package Mishap

For the Pickle family, life has thrown them quite the curveball during their sailing adventure around the world. In this week’s episode of the pickle family vlogs, Nikki recounts the utter chaos they encountered while anchored in a Turkish port, waiting on a crucial parcel that has not arrived for weeks.

Awaited Parcel Turns Into a Wasted 2 Weeks

Imagine having to sit in one spot for two full weeks – unable to move forward on your journey. This was the unfortunate reality for the Pickle family as they waited, patiently yet eagerly anticipating the arrival of an awaited package that would release them from their anchorage purgatory. With a hefty price tag attached to customs fees and doctor’s notes, the anticipation only increased. As weeks passed without any sign of their parcel, frustrations started mounting and time felt wasted.

The Boat Accident in The Anchorage

To make matters even more dramatic and stressful for the Pickle family, their anchoring experience was far from smooth sailing. They were subjected to several boat accidents while anchored. The most significant of which involved a massive yacht that snagged onto their bow sprit causing considerable damage.

The Quest for Resolution

Faced with such adversity, Nikki and her family diligently documented all details of the accident to file a claim. Simultaneously, they reached out to Turkish authorities to track down their lost parcel. Despite encountering rude and unhelpful personnel along the way who seemed more interested in dismissing their concerns, Nikki persevered, hoping for an amicable resolution.

The Journey Forward

While it’s clear the Pickle family has encountered their fair share of turbulence while traveling, they haven’t lost hope or spirit. As the video comes to an end with the family cozied up in their boat, Nikki assures viewers that they will not give up. Despite a frustrating week, the sun is sure to shine again on this family’s remarkable sailing journey.

Awaiting Further Updates

Tune in next week to see if their parcel finally arrives and whether they’re able to leave the Turkish Anchorage. Follow along as this courageous family finds innovative ways to turn every situation into an opportunity for learning and growth. Stay tuned, and let’s wish them smooth sailing from hereon out!
